Trail's End Resort is located on Palmer Lake, with water access to Tenderfoot Lake in Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin. It is the only resort on either lake. 70% of the lake frontage on these fishing lakes is owned by the state, allowing the land to remain peaceful and pristine.
Palmer Lake has an area of 635 acres and a maximum depth of 15 feet. Fish populations include Northern Pike, Muskie, Bluegill and Largemouth Bass. Walleye, Crappie and Smallmouth Bass are also caught. Palmer Lake is listed as one of the TOP 50 musky lakes in Wisconsin.
Tenderfoot Lake has an area of 437 acres and a maximum depth of 34 feet. Fish populations include northern pike, muskie and bluegill. Walleye, crappie, large & smallmouth bass are also caught.
Because of the thriving musky population in Tenderfoot Lake, a Wisconsin/Michigan boundary water, the DNR has placed a 40" minimum length limit to encourage a population of trophy muskies.
